Coronavirus recovery strategy and workplace guidance
Yesterday, the UK government published their Coronavirus recovery strategy. This document describes the progress the UK has made to date in tackling the Coronavirus outbreak and sets out the government’s plans for the next phases of its response. The government has also updated its guidance for businesses on working safely during Coronavirus.
The BCC team has reviewed the government’s strategy and prepared a summary document for Chambers and member businesses which was sent out to UK Chambers last night.
It is important to note that both the roadmap and the guidance which follows are subject to devolved powers and there may be differences in the approaches taken in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The BCC policy team will be undertaking further review of the guidance for businesses. We would be grateful if UK Chamber could highlight any areas where gaps remain to the BCC policy inbox so that we can engage with government on closing these. In particular, let us know any issues caused by the differences in guidance shared by the devolved nations.
