LONDON CALLING: EXECUTIVE MEETINGS 2024

In light of the recent historic election results in the United Kingdom, the BNCC have arranged exclusive round-table meetings, within some of the most iconic institutions of finance, business, security and government, in order to potentially fast-track insights into the changing landscape of trade and investment between our two nations, and beyond.

This unique 3 day program, for a select group of maximum 24 Norwegian executives, is being hosted by high-level experts in investment risk analysis, geopolitics and defence from:

Participation Fee:

– BNCC members: 30000NOK
– non-members: 30000NOK + membership commitment for the following year.
Includes:
– Seat at scheduled round-tables during 3 day program
– Travel between meetings
– Dinner at Westminster Palace

Accommodation offer:

Rooms are reserved at The Oriental Club for delegates who wish to take advantage of the opportunity to continue discussions or just relax at the members bar, in the ambiance steeped in British business history at this iconic private club. Rooms are selected on the Registration Form.

Tore Hattrem, 
Norwegian Ambassador to the U.K. 
A Norwegian diplomat and former politician for the Conservative Party, has held significant roles in international affairs, served as the Permanent Representative of Norway to the United Nations in New York, was elected President of the UNICEF Executive Board, and later became the Permanent Under-Secretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Sir Mark Hendrick,
Member of Parliament (Labour)
House of Commons
Sir Mark Hendrick served on the International Trade Select Committee from 2018 until its dissolution in 2023 and joined the Energy Security and Net Zero Select Committee in June 2023.

David Hogan-Hern,
Director of Strategy, Ministry of Defence
His Majesty’s Government
David’s role involves shaping strategic approaches related to defense policy and international security. Specifically, he collaborates with other strategy directors and teams across HMG to address a range of global issues, including conflict resolution, climate change, global trade, international development, and behaviors in outer space.
Additionally, David Hogan-Hern is a member of the board at Wilton Park, a discreet organization that facilitates conversations on critical topics, drawing representatives from various sectors, including business, militaries, academia, and civil society. Their history includes rehabilitating prisoners of war after World War II, conversations about the end of apartheid, and bringing together opposition groups post-Balkans war.

Andrew Dowler
Managing Director of Government Relations in Europe, Blackstone
With over 30 years of experience advising alternative investment companies, Andrew skillfully navigates political, legislative, and regulatory risks for the firm and provides counsel to Blackstone’s portfolio companies. His career began in politics as a researcher and speechwriter in Westminster, and he played a significant role in high-profile mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings across the European market since the 1980s

Morten Molder,
Head of Negative Selection – Equities, Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM)
Morten focuses on reducing exposure to underperforming companies by employing forensic accounting and behavioral analysis in order to avoid “risky” equities and keep the fund’s portfolio strong and resilient. The fund’s equity investments span approximately 9,000 companies worldwide, with holdings in major companies like Microsoft, Apple, Alphabet, and Amazon.

Ayuna Necheyeva,
Head of Europe Primary Markets,
London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG)
Co-chair of WIN UK
Ayuna oversees the deal origination team for Primary Markets across Europe, manages IPO origination and client relationships, particularly in Europe, including the Nordics, CEE, and CIS, and provides advice on listing benefits on LSEG markets, capital raising, corporate governance, and continuing obligations. She also co-chairs LSEG’s Women Inspired Network UK Chapter and chairs The City UK’s Eurasia Market Advisory Group.

Rory Welsh,
Former Senior Communications Advisor,
Conservative Party (Tory)
House of Commons, Parliament of the UK
Rory is a seasoned political and communications advisor whose previous experience includes Campaign Manager for the former Finance Minister, Chancellor of the Exchequer, Jeremy Hunt. He played a pivotal role in shaping political narratives and strategies. His behind-the-scenes insights involve orchestrating impactful messaging, managing media relations, and navigating the intricate world of political communication.
Whether crafting speeches, coordinating press releases, or advising party leaders, Rory’s work influences the political landscape, making him a key player deep in the heart of British democracy.

Professor Robert Falkner,
International Relations and Academic Dean of the Trium Global Executive MBA
Prof. Falkner supervises doctoral studies in areas including global environmental politics, international political economy, private governance, and business in international relations. His widely published research focuses on global environmental politics, global political economy, and the role of business in international relations.

His latest book, “The Market in Global International Society: An English School Approach to International Political Economy” (co-authored with Barry Buzan) will be published by Oxford University Press.

Laurence Singlehurst,
Chair and Club Librarian
The Oriental Club
Laurence is an expert on the Oriental Club’s rich history, illustrious past, present, and future. Nestled discreetly in London’s Marylebone and Mayfair, it has been a reference point for novelists like William Thackeray and Lytton Strachey, and its impressive collection of books and extensive art and artifact collection bring the club’s history to life.
Founded by the Duke of Wellington and General Sir John Malcolm in 1824, the Oriental Club continues to stand as an exclusive Private Members’ Club in London, and was established to provide a space for individuals connected to the British Empire’s Eastern service.
